Introducing the Meta-Networking Research Center (MEET)

A Vision for Transformative Networking Technologies and Next-Gen Talent Development

At the Meta-Networking Research Center (MEET), we are pioneering the concept of “Meta-Networking,” an innovative framework for information and communication networks. Our core mission is twofold: to develop groundbreaking technologies that dramatically increase the volume of transferrable information and to cultivate talents equipped with both visionary thinking and practical capabilities to explore uncharted territories.

Our Research Focus: Meta-Networking

Meta-Networking surpasses traditional networking limitations by utilizing multi-faceted information, including contextual data (surrounding environment) and semantic data (meaning of the information). We aim to achieve the following through Meta-Networking, which is built on collaboration between network entities:

  1. Enhanced Information Density: By leveraging knowledge from various network entities, we amplify the density of information within the data.
  2. Collaborative Evolution: Using state-of-the-art AI methods, we realize innovative evolutionary control through decentralized collaboration among diverse network entities.
  3. Optimal Services for Recipients: By quantifying various service demands and data characteristics, we offer services that are tailored to each recipient’s needs.

A Three-Layer Approach

We analyze the realization of Meta-Networking through a tri-layered framework consisting of Service Space, Physical Space, and Knowledge Space:

  • Service Space: This layer includes technologies related to user demands and application characteristics.
  • Physical Space: Here, we focus on optimizing physical resources to meet the user and application needs, thereby increasing the volume of transmitted information.
  • Knowledge Space: This dimension involves techniques for establishing, disseminating, and utilizing shared knowledge to improve the efficiency of information transmission in the Physical Space.

Global Collaboration and Talent Development

We are partnering with world-renowned researchers to establish MEET as a leading global hub for networking research. Built upon this foundation, we also aim to foster talents capable of visionary thinking and practical action in an interdisciplinary educational and research environment, both nationally and internationally.
